Votive candles are designed to be burned in tight-fitting holders.  This allows the wax to be drawn up constantly toward the wick for the longest possible burn time.  Votive candles will not burn as long if they are placed in loose-fitting holders.  There are so many variables that come into play when burning any candles, such as location (drafts, wind, ceiling fans), amount of time of continuous burn, proper wick trimming, etc.  Votives can burn differently in various votive jars and holders.  Our votives should always be burned in some type of votive holder to contain melted wax.  Although our wicks are considered self-trimming we still recommend that you trim the wicks to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch at all times.  (Burn instructions recommend that you NEVER burn a candle continuously for more than 3 hours!)

Our candles burn very cleanly so therefore there should not be much wax left in the bottom of the votive jar.  After removing any left-over wax with a paper towel, dishwash or hand wash in warm water using a soft cloth and non-abrasive dish soap.
Note: Scrubbing some colored votive holders may remove their glaze.

Our votive candles measure approximately 2.0 inches tall and 1.75 inches in diameter.

Order stock #1104-83.  However, you can find them in lots of other places on the internet or in local candles stores.  Our votives measure 2.0 inches tall and 1.75 inches wide.  Make sure the votive holders fit the candles snug so that they don't just melt down and fill the bottom of the holder.  If your votive holders are properly sized to fit our votives, they should burn for approximately ten hours.  Please do not burn our votive candles without putting them into a votive holder or they will melt all over your table!!!

The wicks are lead free and also core free (no zinc) and are made from 100% cotton.  Although our wicks are considered self trimming we still recommend that you trim the wicks to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch at all times.  (Burn instructions recommend that you NEVER burn a candle continuously for more than 3 hours!)

Our original formula was 100% soy but we found that soy was NOT the best ingredient to develop an alternative candle from.  The reason is that 100% soy does NOT hold enough scent to create a strong scented candle.  When we designed a strongly scented soy candle we found that scent actually rose to the top of the candle forming a puddle at the top.  The proprietary formula we currently use is a formula specifically designed for our candle's needs (clean burning and also strongly scented) and is comprised of vegetables and other natural, renewable resources.  In our opinion, although soy has the benefits of clean burning and warm water clean up, our blend has those benefits PLUS allows us to make the candle one of the strongest scented candles in the market!  We are also concerned about the Bee population and so our candles DO NOT use Beeswax!

We use 2 wicks so the candles burn evenly and release the maximum amount of fragrance from the first time you light the candle right down to the end.

It would depend on the time you spend in the shower, what you use it for and if you let it standing in water after leaving the shower.  Most people have told us that the bar lasts a lot longer than any cleansing bar they have ever used!

You can experience the following if you expose your candles to extreme cold. (20 degrees F or less):

1. If your candles are stored in a cold place you may notice that the scent coming from the unburned candle will not be as strong when you open the jar.  That will not affect the scent when the candle is burned and you will also notice that the scent will return to full strength when brought back to normal conditions.
2. The glass container holding the candle can become more brittle while cold and cases of candles should not be mishandled as it can cause breakage of the glass under those conditions.

Storing your candles in your car or anyplace where it can be exposed to extreme heat can cause the following situations to occur:

Extreme heat can cause the candle to melt slightly, but it will reform itself once it is no longer being exposed to that heat.  If candles are stored for a long period of time in extreme heat (100 degrees F or more) and the storage area is unventilated you can experience the following:

1. Candle melting
2. The candles can lose some of their scent
3. The candles can become slightly discolored.

Do NOT allow the candles to be exposed to sunlight while in storage as it can discolor the candles.

Multilevel marketing is a legitimate income opportunity.  Multilevel marketing is a popular way of retailing in which products are sold by independent distributors (usually working from a home office), rather than by sales clerks in stores.

In a network marketing structure you can also build and manage your own sales force by recruiting, motivating, supplying and training others to sell those products.  Your compensation then includes a percentage of the sales of your entire sales group as well as earnings on your own sales to retail customers.  This opportunity has made multilevelmarketing an attractive way of starting a business with comparatively little money.

How to tell the difference between a legitimate business and a disguised pyramid scheme:
Pyramid schemes seek to make money from you (and quickly).  Multilevel marketing companies seek to make money with you as you build your business (and theirs) selling consumer products.  Before you sign up with a company, investigate carefully.  A good way to begin is to ask yourself these three questions:

1. How much are you required to pay to become a distributor?  Start Up Cost: Start up fees in multilevel companies are generally small (usually for a sales kit).  These companies want to make it easy and inexpensive for you to start selling.  Pyramid schemes, on the other hand, make nearly all of their profit on signing up new recruits.
2. Will the company buy back unsold inventory?  Buying Back Inventory: Legitimate companies which require inventory purchases will usually "buy back" unsold products if you decide to quit the business.  Some state laws require buy-backs for at least 90% of your original cost.
3. Are the company's products sold to consumers?  Sales to Consumers:  This is a key element.  Network marketing depends on selling to consumers and establishing a customer and distributor organization.  This requires quality products, competitively priced.  Pyramid schemes, on the other hand, are not concerned with sales to users of the product.  Profits are made on volume sales to new recruits, who buy the products, not because they are useful or attractively priced, but because they must maintain a set inventory to participate.  Inventory purchases should never be more than you can realistically expect to sell.

(We liken a good network marketing business to a rectangle rather than a pyramid because (in truth) you are allowed to build your business as wide as you want (you can place as many people on your front line as you desire) and you will receive income on a certain amount of depth (in our case, 6 levels).  If you were to actually draw this out on a napkin presentation it usually looks like a rectangle.)

Great question; and one that many have a hard time explaining.

It's not quantity of time that matters, it's quality of time.  Reading email, reading books and studying the website can seem like business time, but it won't produce one red cent for you.  So, as long as you are willing to make that 5-10 hours productive time, you can have a successful business.  And, I'll teach you how to do that!

Yes, you can.  Although I encourage you to at least let your friends, family and others know about your new business and let them smell the candles.  You do not have to tell them about the business side, or even ask them to buy anything.  Simply tell them what you are doing and ask if they have any ideas.  Personally, I share the products with my friends and family, but only talk to them about the business if they come to me and ask.

Yes, in most cases.  If your spouse is adamantly opposed to your business, you may want to really think things out.  However, if your spouse is just skeptical, and does not want any personal involvement, that's okay.  It will be important that you make good use of your available time and resources and keep your "why" for doing this business planted firmly in front of you.  Eventually, when your husband sees that you are making money doing this, he will most likely become more interested!

Speak to your spouse and simply ask him/her to please support you to the extent that he/she respects your decision, does not belittle you, and set up some guidelines that you are both comfortable with for business hours, etc. And, then make sure you respect these guidelines.

Make it a point to earn a profit as quickly as possible and keep it growing.  This usually changes the spouse from skeptical to okay, to down right excited.

Since I don't know how much time and effort you have put into your other businesses, I can't promise you that it will work for you, but I do know about the commitment I will make to you.  First, what reasons do you believe were the cause of your previous lack of success?  What will you do differently?  How committed are you to achieving what you say you want?  Are you coachable?  Are you willing to work closely with me and follow a system for success?

Use a free search engine submission site to speed up the spidering/index process.  Using a tool like this or one you pay for is somewhat similar.  It basically speeds up the process of your site being spidered/indexed and listed in a search engine, rather than waiting for the search engine to eventually do it on it's own.
